Ovulation Induction
For women who are not ovulating or have irregular menstrual cycles or unexplained infertility.
Ovulation-inducing medications are often the first approach physicians will try to achieve pregnancy. These medications stimulate the release of hormones that drive follicular development and egg maturation. Other medications control the time that you release the eggs, so sexual intercourse or intrauterine insemination(IUI) can be timed to optimize the chance of achieving pregnancy.
Various fertility medications can be utilized for controlled ovarian stimulation, including Clomid, Letrozole, Follistim, Gonal-F, and Menopur. Follicle-stimulating hormone or FSH (Follistim/Gonal-F) is a gonadotropin hormone naturally produced by the brain to stimulate follicular development and egg maturation and is typically used in IVF cycles to produce multiple eggs for most assisted reproductive technology (ART) procedures. Menopur is FSH and LH hormones usually used in combination with Follistim or Gonal-F to produce multiple eggs for IVF.
Production of multiple eggs using injectable gonadotropins for controlled ovarian stimulation significantly improves pregnancy rates over traditional ovulation cycles. At Adore Fertility, the administration of ovarian stimulation medications is individualized to meet patient needs based on age, diagnosis, medical history, and cycle type.
